Stay Connected

“The rain-weeping and the sun burning twine together to make us grow. Keep your intelligence white-hot and your grief glistening, so your life will stay fresh. Cry easily like a little child.”

Vivaldi Four Seasons

Lisa and I attended a performance at the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra began with Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No.1 and after a break moved into the second half of the program featuring all four violin concertos from Vivaldi's, The Four Seasons. I was most impressed with the conductor, Scoot Yoo, who also played the violin solos. AMAZING talent! The spring concerto brought tears to my eyes. More about Scott Yoo: http://www.cami.com/?webid=641

I had been feeling quite disconnected and rather blue before attending the performance Saturday, May 1oth, 2008. It was exactly what my soul needed. Watching Scott Yoo, work so passionately and watching the members of the orchestra each working their own magic, filled me with a sense of awe and refueled the notion of how great and vast this universe truly is. I wished so badly that we could have brought my sister's youngest son with us. I think little Brandon would have loved to watch Scott work his wonders both with his violin and with his hands, head, eyes, and his very breath as he conducted masterful pieces. Life is beautiful.
